This program was developed by Artistic Director, Kim Nazarian, in order to create more surface area for the DeMiero Jazz Festival, to connect with Elite Vocal Jazz Clinicians in the USA, and to encourage some community outreach through music. Generous giving is contagious—clinicians donate their time, then students donate their talents—it’s a win-win!
Pairing: Each participating school is “paired” with a top-notch Vocal Jazz Clinician for a 60-minute Zoom session based on either repertoire, or specific skill request.
Caring: Each group is required to use their music to serve the community (i.e. nursing home, hospital, church, VA, etc.)
Sharing: Each group shares their experiences (both pairing and caring) with the folks attending the Thursday Music Intensive Evening Concert.
The Power of Music is strong and vital! We must teach our students how to use it productively and sincerely. Let’s GO!
